- Preparation: Ensure proper setup of the root canal treatment area with all necessary instruments and materials.
- Positioning Applicator Tip: Confirm that the applicator Tip is loose within the root canal and positioned at least 2mm short of the terminus.
- Dispensing the Solution: Gently deliver Ammdent Cito Cid, a 10% citric acid solution, into the canal using the applicator Tip.
- Agitation Technique: Move the applicator Tip up and down gently to agitate and brush the solution against the canal walls. This helps in cleaning and dissolving any calcium hydroxide present.

- Dwell Time (if applicable): If using Ammdent Cito Cid to remove the smear layer, allow the solution to dwell in the canal for 3 minutes.
- Final Rinse: Conclude the procedure with a final rinse using clean, bacteria-free water, plain EDTA, or a local anesthetic solution.
- Removal of Residual Solution: Utilize a Luer Vacuum Adapter with a Capillary Tip or a 10mm Micro Capillary Tip to facilitate the removal of any residual solution or other irrigants.
- Drying the Canal: Dry the canal thoroughly using Paper Points to prepare for obturation.
- Obturation: Proceed with fitting the master cone and obturation using Endoflux or Resinoseal root canal sealers, along with coated gutta-percha points and specially designed delivery systems.
- Warning: Avoid sequential use of Ammdent Cito Cid and sodium hypochlorite, as this may result in the production of chlorine gas. Always rinse with clean, bacteria-free water between the application of Ammdent Cito Cid and sodium hypochlorite irrigation to ensure safety.
